- Hello, Glam, and our congratulations for you for winning Norwegian national final. How do you feel now, being selected a Eurovision singers?
- It feels great!!! ROCK IS THE NEW SCHLAGER!!!!! Finaly rock'n roll has accepted in the Slager Festival *S*

- Is Eurovision contest something important for you, or it is one of chances to promote the band?
- The way we look at it the Eurovision Slager festival is one of the biggest music festivals in Europe, right? How can you turn that down? It's also the only festival I know of that has a price, a competition part. They didn't have that in the Monsters Of Rock festival! The only sad thing about the festival is the short live-set we're allowed to do. 3 minutes and only one extra number! We're used to do 90 minutes x 2 every night. ......... But to answer your question... YES! We're here to promote our band and our music and to make a statement.

- It was your second attempt in National Final, was it difficult to win this time? Were you expecting that your song will be chosen by voters?
- We never thought we would win the competition part!! We knew we would do a great gig having all our diehard fans there, but didn't expect the norwegian people to be brave enough to vote for something fresh.

- Which song from yours you really prefer - winning one "In My Dreams" or the song from the last year "Crazy Things"? Were this songs written specially for the National selection?
- I really prefer In My dreams because it represents the essense of Wig Wam. Heavy guitars and strong hook-lines! I love "Crazy Things" too, but it only represents our soft style. None of these songs were written specially for the National selection. "Crazy Things" was taken from our first album, "In My Dreams" was taken from our forthcoming album. We had finished about 6 songs for our next album when the norwegian broadcasting invited us to the final. So we let our recordcompany pick one. They thought "In My Dreams" was the most suitable. And they were bloody right, right?

- So how did Teeny come with the idea of this song? Were you specially basing it on a catchy chorus?
- The idea of the song started out with the heavy guitar riff and was taken from there. We're a melodious rock'n roll band and love bands like Journey, Kiss, Van Halen and so on. We like to mix good melodies with heavy guitar riffs you know. Actually the song went through a couple of modifications after VME had it pick out. You see, the songs intro was originaly the heavy riff and went from there into the verse. I fought hard to start the song with the choruse instead. We also had to cut the guitar solo, because we were only allowed to have the 3 minutes you know.

- How can you characterize your song "In My Dreams" in one sentence? And how do you call it's style? It is basicly glam-rock, but glam is usually more about appearance, so what is your definition?
- "In My Dreams" is a catchy hardrock sing-along song with nasty guitars and great hook-lines.....! Eventhough we're a glamrock band, our music is classic hardrock with the poodle touch!

- Can you describe your song presentation to those who have not watched the NF?
- We kicked some serious ass, rocking and rolling like we always do. *S*

- How can you judge other songs at the national preselection? Did you like any of them?
- I thought Jahn Teigen did a great song, even though it didn't have the "schläger" touch needed. But he had a wonderful song I think. My favourite was Jorun Erdal's "I Am Rock'n Roll". She's a great singer. I was also taken away by Tor Endresen's vocal-presentations, though the song reminded me more of the musical stuff around. But his voice.... I was also deeply moved by Andreas voice and loved her song. But like I said... ROCK IS THE NEW SCHLAGER!!!

- Are you usually following the Eurovision contest? What do you think about previous Norwegian representatives?
-I have followed the show almost every year if I weren't in the middle of a show myself. Previous norwegian representatives I remember? Well, offcourse BobbySocks, he he. They did pretty well, right? I think most of the norwegian presentatives have had too much of the old fashioned norwegian attitude. Don't make to much fuzz about yourself and be the good boy!! We sure are gonna rock Kiev like no norwegians have ever done, and that's a threat he he! We're a live-band, and will be playing those dark, small clubs in Kiev.

- Do you know that this year there will be other Norwegian Geir "The Voice" Ronning (ex-Toto, Prisoner, Radioactive and Sayit) will be singing for Finland? Have you heard his song?
- Nopes! Haven't heard it. Is it good? We really hoped for Kee Marcello's (ex-Europe guitar player) K2 to win the Swedish final. We were thinking about doing some jam sessions and heavy partying over there. But maybe Geir could join us instead...

- Have you already heard any other participating songs and what is your opinion on them?
- Nopes again. *S* I know nothing. Right now I'm only listening to some classic Journey albums. Love that voice. Steve Perry rules my world!!

- Well, your song is definetely different, but do you think it is enough to win at the contest? Do you think it will appeal to the wide audience?
- I haven't got a sligthest clue! I've been to busy promoting our new album "HARD TO BE A ROCK'N ROLLER... IN KIEV!" and our single "In My Dreams" and keeping in touch with our fans The Wig Wamaniacs. They are our main priority, and we keep in touch with them everyday on our website www.wigwam.no

- What will be your aim in the contest, are you looking for win?
- Our mission is to entertain and to rock Europe. If rock becomes Europes new schlager our mission have been taken to a higher level than we even dreamed off. But I really think Europe is ready for us. I think Europe need some serious entertainment, a good old rock'n roll circus. Too many artist of today take the industry too serious, and forgets that it's only entertainment after all.

- What are your preparations plans? Are you planning promo tour?
- Yes we are! we are planning on coming over to Romania, Poland, Russia, Germany and a couple of more countries to spread the word. So lock up your mothers. *S* ...and your daughters too, he he.

- Are you planning to record song is some other languages? Or may be some remixes? Is the date for single release already set?
- The single "In My dreams" is allready doing very well here in Norway. In fact, the first edition is allready sold out. New singles came today. Our album is also sold out. Norway is about to change the name to Wig Wam Land. *S* Wouldn't that be just great? And noooooooooo, we're no planning on doing the song in another language.

- Will you be adding some changes into the song before the contest, new arrangement for example?
- Not! Never change a winning team right? We think the song is perfect just the way it is. But on our next album we will add the guitar solo, which is about 3 minutes long.

- Will be your stage presentation at the Eurovision similar to the one you had in the National final, or it will be different?
- We are Wig Wam, and we will present ourselves as Wig Wam always do. A rock'n roll spectacle!!!! Maybe we'll change our stageoutfits, maybe not. Maybe we'll simply go for the nude look, or making a Janet Jackson twist... I've been thinking about an orange coloured outfit dedicated to Ukraine, but I havn't made up my mind yet. We're not a political band, so it could easily be misunderstood.
- Is it really your motto - don't judge us by our appearences? - No! Don't judge us at all, let the show do the talking and dare to let yourself have a good time! LET'S ROOOOOCK!!!

- Will it be difficult for you to perform with playback when only vocals are live and instruments are prerecorded?
- Been there, done that a million times on TV-show! But we prefer to perform our songs live. We're a live band, and we play our instruments well. But we understand that they won't let us play live because of the time pressure. But we promise to do some live giging in Kiev.

- Have you already been thinking about the idea of preview video, or you are going to sent live performance from NF as preview?
- Don't know really! It's out of our control! I would prefer a mix between the live stuff and some new clips. But we'll see. There will be a video. That's for sure!

- Let's speak on your career. You've been around as a cover band for a long time, why did you decided to concentrate on own music lately?
- Before our record was released we chose to do a lot of cover songs mixed with our own music. Simply because people like to hear thing they have heard before.Since our album was released March 8, 2004 we've been doing 90% of our album live, mixed with the cover highlights. We make great music ourselves, and it's obvious that we will concentrate on our own stuff. But some of our favourite cover songs will still be added to our livesets.

- Do you think glamrock is still alive? What are the other bands your are inspired by from glam and other categories?
- Glamrock is very much alive, and we have proved it here in Norw of A! Now it's time to Glam Europe too! We were inspired by bands such as Led Zeppelin, Sweet, Aerosmith, Kiss, Journey, and so on. Our drummer Sporty is more into Green Day nowadays, but he used to be a great fan of Clash and Ramones.

- Are you following other bands in heavy metal, rock'n roll? What for example you think was the best CD's you heard lately?
- Yes, we are following the rock scene closely! I just got back from a Judas Priest concert and they really rocked like crazy. The latest album I've been listening to is Journey's "Raised On Radio". GREAT ALBUM! And also Aersomith's "Just Push Play"! One of my favourites right now.

- So far you have released one full CD, is second on the way? Will it be different or you are hoping to continue thread of "667"?
- We just changed recordcompany, and they wanted to re-release "667" with a couple of new songs added. Teeny's masterpiece "The Drop", and instrumental anthem, heavy and cruel! We have also added our "Hard To Be A Rock'n Roller" music video on it. Since we have a new market on it's way, Europe that is, we will now release a European version of the album titled "HARD TO BE A ROCK'N ROLLER... IN KIEV!", with brand new "In My Dreams" as opening track. And we're in the middle of recording for the next studio album, still untitled. It's due for an august release. We have also recorded a hot version of "I Was Made For Loving You" (KISS) with our friend and former Kiss guitar player Bruce Kulick. It will be released on a Norwegian Kiss tribute album from Kiss Army Norway around Septhember this year.

- What is your favourite song from the "667... The Neighbour Of The Beast?" I really can't decide myself as it never left my CD player since I purchased it! May be you can help?
- My personal favourite these days... Hmmmm... perhaps "Bless The Night". I really enjoy singing that song live you know. It's dedicated to those lovely girls in the front row. And it usualy makes 'em go wild!!!!!

- Why do you prefered to use pseudonames and don't appear with your real names? Is it continuation of marketing strategy?
- We are Teeny, Flash, Sporty and Glam, and we thank our parents for coming up with such great names for their sons. Maybe we were ment to be rock'n roll stars from birth....

- Today most of the rock and metal bands are non commercial and underground. Do you think it is possible to make money on heavy metal - hard rock releases nowadays?
- YES! We ARE making lots of money allready!! What does that word mean anyway? Commercial? Everything is commercial you know. Even the underground music industri is commercial, but their market is just a little bit different. I don't believe it when bands or record companies try to tell me they don't wanna sell records and make money. It's simply bullshit!!!
- And our usual question usually asked by our visitors - can you name us any singers you know coming from ex-USSR, Russia, Ukraine? - Can't name any singers, but I happen to love a Russian band called Gorky Park!!! THEY ROCK! Are they still rocking these days? Hope so.

- We are coming from Kazakhstan, have you ever heard our most popular power metal band Holy Dragons?
- No! Sorry. *S* Cool name though. We will definitely try to see some good live acts during our stay in Ukraine! We are curious about it's music scene! Very curious!

- If you wish to leave any message to the visitors of our site you can do it now.
- Come on, Come On, Come on people.... LET'S MAKE SOME NOISE!!!! YOU CAN MAKE ROCK THE NEW SCHLAGER! It's all up to you! We are looking forward to put a Biiiiiig rock'n roll smile on all of your beautiful faces and will return for a live tour as soon as posible!!! Get ready to be Wig Wamed.........

- Thank you very much for the interview and see you in Kiev! Hope you will Wig Wam all of us there, and we are getting ready!
- Sure Andy! Sure! Now I gotta tune my guitar and get back to business!!!
