Firefest III, UK – Metal Symphony [es]

WIG WAM
The most funny moment of the night arrived with the norway band Wig Wam. As they proved in the TV show Eurovision two years ago, they had a cool and ritmic style. Besides, the musicians are first rate and knows how to entertain the audience. They were dressed with eccentric clothes, remainded to Village People, and nothing to do with 'glam metal'.

The singer Aage Steen was the substance of the party, with his clothes and the big feather coiffure, moreover his congenial and great voice. The rest of the band (Trond Holter in guitar, Bernt Jansen in bass and the drumer Oystein Andersen) were banish to a second level, but they played in a masterly way, in particular Holter who made the solo "Erection", a joke tribute to the famous Van Halen 's song "Eruption".

The band played songs like "Bless The Night", "I Turn To You", "Crazy Things", "Hill My Rock n Roll" and "Bygone Zone", besides a couple of AC/DC covers. They finished with "It's Hard to be a Rock n Roller" and "In My Dreams", their most popular song. Is evident that Wig Wam has the recipe to draw the audience. And there's no doubt that it's deserved.
