WIG WAM ended their Vinterlyd tour by jammin’ with Paperboys on stage
On Good Friday Wig Wam did their last appearance in the “Krafttak mot kreft” at Hafjell. After their own performance the band members entered the stage by surprise and joined in on Paperboys' big hit "Lonesome Traveller"
April 3, 2010 - Among thousands of people attending Vinterlyd were also members of the Royal Family. Princess Märtha Louise, her husband Ari Behn and the children were in the audience to watch Wig Wam on stage. After the show they had a nice meeting with the rockers backstage. In a speech The Norwegian Cancer Society thanked Wig Wam for their effort during this year’s Vinterlyd and then the band stormed the stage with Non Stop Rock'n Roll, Do Ya Wanna Taste It, Highway To Hell/ Back In Black and In My Dreams.
However, when Paperboys did their last song, Wig Wam unexpectedly entered the stage again and joined in on “Lonesome Traveller” in an exclusive jam version of Paperboys' big hit.
Together with A1, Paperboys, Maria Haukaas Storeng, Chand & David Urwitz, Wig Wam have helped to collect millions of NOK to benefit the cancer research. The artists have visited children and young people in hospitals across the country.
On Easter Eve the Vinterlyd ended this year’s tour in Hafjell. Wig Wam did not attend this last Vinterlyd concert as they at the same time played at Knettsetra in Trysil and set a new audience record with 6000 people at this venue.
