WIG WAM to perform at Support Japan Concert

WIG WAM and a number of Norwegian artists with strong ties to Japan performs during the concert support for Japan on Monday 21 March at Folketeatret in Oslo with the title GIFT TO JAPAN

The artists will do a concert Monday 21 March at Folketeatret in Oslo at 19:30, in which Christian Ringnes sympathetic has made  his premises available. This is done to support  people by giving them this gift in the form of a concert, and a special song written for the purpose. The recipient of our support is the Red Cross in Norway that works with the Red Cross in Japan now.

"It warms the Norwegian artists want to show their sympathy and gratitude to their contacts in Japan. We at the Red Cross will arrange for that ticket revenues will go to victims of disaster in Japan through the relief work that we in the Red Cross in Norway is a part of, and reconstruction later. We encourage everyone to show their commitment in terms of getting at the concert to be held next Monday. "

- Sven Mollekleiv, president of the Red Cross

The concert is organized by Trine Rein and Margrethe Wam Solvang, in cooperation with the Norwegian Red Cross and several other key people in both industry and music industry.

WIG WAM has had a close and dear relationship with Japan since 2004 as the first country outside of Norway to see a strong fascination for the band. Wig Wam's last visit in the country was under their NON STOP ROCK'N ROLL TOUR 2010 (see video from Tokyo here)

Now WIG WAM want to show their support and sympathy to the Japanese people, who recently have undergone inhuman suffering and trauma.
