Live in Tokyo – The Streets [no]
’Live in Tokyo’ blir uansett aldri noe mer enn en helt gjennomsnittlig liveskive.
6/10 - Wig Wam is starting to get a solid fan base in Japan and then what it more natural than to do what everyone else does; To release a ‘Live in Tokyo’ album. If you have heard this band live already you’re not in for the unexpected so to speak. The set list is just what you expect it to be and the Glam’s jokes and flirting with the audience sounds well rehearsed as well. The band kicks ass live and it’s particularly good to hear Teeny having more fun with his guitar than he does on the studio versions of the songs. One thing that doesn’t impress me though is the backing vocal which doesn’t sound good at all. In addition to the well known songs from the albums we get two tracks previously unreleased outside Japan. The band seems to have fun on stage, and the audience seems to enjoy themselves too, but despite this ‘Live in Tokyo’ will never be more than a pretty average live album.
