Wig Wam "Non stop rocknroll"
4 / 5
Norwegian party rockers Wig Wam are back with their 3rd studio album. Non Stop Rock And Roll has all the right Wig Wam elements that they have delivered on their pervious album. This is album filled with catchy hooklines with great melodies and of course memorable choruses. Guitarist Teeny delivers cool riffs and they mixture melodic hardrock with AOR influences with right amount of Glam Rock in their sound. This is album that takes off were Wig Wamania ended. They open up the album with a perfect party rocker called Do Ya Wanna Taste It that has sing-a-long chorus with huge background vocals, catchy is the word. Wall Come Down has cool TNT sounding riffs, but the chorus reminds more of The Poodles. A good rocker. Wild One is a huge Arena rocker with a fantastic catchy chorus with Def Leppard choirs, Wig Wam when they are at their peak. The only song that feels a bit average is C’mon Everybody that has a simple chorus and never takes off.
Man In The Moon is a ok ballad with nice strings and the 2nd ballad From Here is brilliant piano and acoustic guitar song. But I love this band when the deliver songs like Still I’m Burning and All You Wanted that are two awesome melodic rockers with big hooks and memorable choruses. Chasing Rainbows reminds little of The Darkness meets The Poodles, nice rocker. Then there’s a bonus track called Gonna Get It On that will only be available in the first edition in digital. It’s a straight ahead rocker with some sleaze influences a'la Crazy Lixx, just OK. The production is very good with great arrangements and Glam sings faultless. This is album that made me think of the latest The Poodles album on couple of songs. No, this is a damn fine album that will fire up you party, so if you’re into Wig Wam and The Poodles Non Stop Rock And Roll will make your day.
