Wig Wam - Non Stop Rock N Roll

Ο περισσότερος κόσμος τους γνώρισε μέσω της συμμετοχής τους στη Eurovision, παρά ταύτα οι Wig Wam, συν τω χρόνω,  απέδειξαν ότι είχαν πολλά περισσότερα να προσφέρουν στους φίλους της Hard Rock μουσικής από μια συμμετοχή στο αστείο αυτό πανηγύρι και συνεχίζουν να κυκλοφορούν καλά, κεφάτα rock ‘n roll albums.  

Στην μεγάλη παρέα της Frontiers, πλέον, οι Νορβηγοί κυκλοφορούν ακόμα ένα album που δεν θα αφήσει κανέναν παραπονεμένο, αφού ξέρουν πια καλά που απευθύνονται και τι θέλουν να κάνουν. Έτσι, λοιπόν, ζεσταίνουν τις κιθάρες τους, ξεσκονίζουν τις επιρροές τους, ενδύονται την glam περιβολή τους και πατώντας πάνω στην, ομολογουμένως, ευχάριστη συνταγή τους, παρουσιάζουν ακόμα ένα Glam/Rock ‘n Roll album (4ο στη σειρά).  Αυτή τη φορά, όλο το Wig Wam πακέτο είναι εδώ, με όλα του τα αξεσουάρ, ήτοι δυνατές κιθάρες, μελωδικά, «πιασάρικα» ρεφρέν, κεφάτο, τόσο 70ς αλλά και τόσο καλοδεχούμενο σήμερα.  

Με πρώτη ανάσα μετά από τέσσερα κομμάτια που σε παρακινούν να χοροπηδήσεις όπως χρόνια πριν έκανες υπό τους ήχους των Slade, των Sweet ή των Quiet Riot, ο τίτλος του album αποτυπώνει την πραγματική εικόνα ενός album που ενώ, στην πραγματικότητα, δεν προχωράει τη μουσική ούτε ένα βήμα παραπέρα, εντούτοις θα μείνει καιρό κολλημένο στο player αφού, στην ουσία του, είναι ότι ακριβώς χρειάζεται κανείς εν μέσω εορταστικής περιόδου.  

Non Stop Rock ‘n Roll, λοιπόν, και τι άλλο θέλετε για να περάσετε καλά;

Almost everybody got to know them through their Eurovision gig, however Wig Wam, given the time, proved that they had much more to give than just a stint in that ludicrous competition and they keep on releasing nice, high-spirited rock ‘n roll albums.  

Having joined the big happy Frontiers family of bands, the Norwegians release yet another album that will produce no complaints, since they now know very well where to address their music and they really know what to do with it. So, they warm up their guitars, dust their influences and relying on their agreeable recipe, they give us yet another Glam/Rock ‘n Roll album (4th in a row). Once more, the complete Wig Wam package is here, fully accessorized, with its heavy guitars, its melodic and “catchy” choruses, tempered, spirited, so 70s yet so agreeable today.

It lets you catch a breath after four cuts that make you get up and bounce the same way you did with Slade, Sweet or Quiet Riot so many years ago and the title is oh-so befitting, truthfully depicting an album that while it could never give music a new push, however it will stick in your player since its true essence is what you really need during the holiday season.

Non Stop Rock ‘n Roll it is and what more could you ask for, for some fun?
