Wig Wamania – AOR Dream Zones [uk]

90 / 100 - The reutrn of the band that single handedly made Eurovision worth watch and listening to. Do not labour under any illusions, scratch the surface, chip away the nail varnish, the flash and the camp- "Can you feel the itch for a man in tights?" from the very Scorpions circa "Blackout" of "Rock my Ride"- you find fine musicians with the ability of write great songs that resonate with a wide audience, while the icing on the cake is is Glam's superb voice, a sort of Torsten Flakne on steroids. There's a girl this write knows who will take the elegant ballad "Slave to your love" to her scarred little heart, while "Gona get you someday" noads at Bon Jovi while retaining a lyrical snippy wit as it's chorus rings on for eternity. "Bygone Zone" is the kind song Def Leppard no longer write and "Kill my Rock and Roll"is Stage Dolls with the groove of Sons of Angels. "A R'nR Girl like you" is a kick up the arse for "My Sharona" with a better chorus, and "Can't get her( out of my bed)" is Scoprions with a big chorus. A band that knows exactly what rock and roll is really all about.
